From the airport:

By tram: If you plan to come directly to the FIM you can take tram No. 10 from the airport in direction of "Zürich Bahnhofplatz/HB" and get off at "ETH/Universitätsspital". The journey takes 30 minutes.

By train: If you prefer to go to the city center first (Hauptbahnhof, main station) you can take any of the trains leaving from the train station at the airport in direction of "Zürich HB". Trains leave about every 10 minutes, the journey takes around 10 to 15 minutes.

By taxi: A taxi ride from the airport to the city center takes about 20 to 30 minutes (depending on traffic) and costs about CHF 60.00.

Tickets for both the tram and the train can be obtained at the ticket vending machines or at the ticket counters at the airport train station. A single ticket from the airport to the city center or to ETH costs CHF 6.60 (3 zones).

From the main station (Zürich HB):

If you arrive by train you can take either tram No. 6 (direction "Zoo") or No. 10 (direction "Flughafen, Fracht") and get off at "ETH/Universitätsspital".

Tickets can be obtained at the vending machines, a single ticket from the train station to ETH costs CHF 4.20 (zone 110 "Stadt Zürich").
