The Institute for Mathematical Research welcomes mathematicians from all over the world and invites them to do research, to teach and - most importantly - to exchange their knowledge in a straightforward, inspiring and lively environment. The Institute's primary objective is to offer a platform on which contacts of lasting values between faculty members of the Department of Mathematics of ETH, graduate students, members of the Swiss mathematical community at large and leading international researchers can be established.
